b-day, b-dancing, b-dinner ... minus the last b ...
so yeah black friday had a different meaning for us ... taste on melrose was having happy hour all day on top of their 3-course meal for $26 ... can't pass that deal up ... tortilla soup, chicken picatta, and pumpkin… -
thanks ... for good friends ... and good family ...
and it's turkey day ... thanks to my aunt and uncle for hosting dinner at their place ... but yeah it's good to get together with all my relatives and talk and laugh over a good meal ... my mom's potato salad always … -
babies and bars ... (and bar results) ...
so yeah, kelly and pat made their way down south for their once-in-a-while visit ... and we got caught up on all the baby shenanigans ... meghan's gotten pretty big and speedy (as kids are wont to do) and, not surpris… -
birthdays galore ...
so apparently birthdays are all the rage this time of year ... miriam's back in town lawyering ... and we all got together at the farmer's market to have a low-key b-day celebration ... quasi-red-velvet cake courtesy… -
well into party season ...
it's the most wonderful time of the year ... party after party after party ... first on the list was a mini-b-day celebration for renee ... still in her 20s ... ::grumble grumble:: ... but yeah late-night pizza fixes … -
costume capers ...
so felicity's place was the happening joint with a pretty well-planned out costume party ... people came from far and wide to attend ... oscar dropped in from new york ... we dropped in from west LA ... we're pretty … -
late night lottery ...
and restaurants need our business bad enough that they'll give away gift cards to get you to come in ... palomino in westwood ... home to many a late night happy hour ... $5 food ... $4 drinks now up from $2 ... gott… -
scares and dares ...
and we planned a nice evening for a dinner and a movie ... the blue dog in the valley by kelly's old place ... a beer joint w/ a nice bar menu ... we got the veggie chili, greek pizza, meat calzone and the blue dog b… -
ok, i give up ... i'm 30 now ...
and the official party was saturday ... vanessa was in LA for the festivities ... i'd like to think it was for the festivities, but there was family stuff for her to do ... so we eased her into the situation w/ a nice… -
not 30 just yet ...
who's 30 years old? not me ... but it's inevitable ... so we had pre-parties galore ... friends and family and favorite food joints ... bbc time at paco's for some of the good stuff ... i don't even remember how we …
