we wanted to try out the snorkeling at a less crowded place, so we hit up the lagoons at ko'olina ... supposed to be a rad place, but it turns out it was a little colder and had less fish to check out ... so we ended up cutting it short after a little swimming and water shenanigans ... if we ever go there again, we'd hit up lagoon 1 or 3 instead of 4 ...

yeah we grabbed some ono's cheesesteaks and took our last swim at waikiki ... the waves are generally gentler ... the sand is a little smoother ... and surprisingly, it wasn't nearly as crowded in the water as it was on the beach ...

so we swam our brains out and soaked up as much hawaii ocean as we could ...

and our final meal in hawaii was at duke's -- a nice beach front open air restaurant in waikiki ... short ribs ... salad bar buffet w/ all the man salads ... and we took our last stroll down the tourist-y strip ...

hit up the apple store to get our internet fix and take care of some e-mail emergencies ... and woke up the next morning to catch our noon flight back to the mainland ... movies were so-so ... frost/nixon and marley and me ... not a dry eye in the house for that crazy dog movie ... we also caught a few episodes of 30 rock which completely renewed our faith in scripted network shows ... time to get the tivo ready on thursday ...

and we welcomed ourselves back to LA w/ a little LA mexican food ... paco's just before dinner rush ... the best chicken fajitas and flour tortillas they've ever made for us ... though the price of the margarita pitcher has almost doubled since the last time i looked at the price ... 13 bucks to now 21 and change ... ouchers ... but basically 5 sinfully delicious margaritas at 4 bucks a pop ... technically, it's still a good deal for LA ...
