  we finished off our planned activities w/ a dinner buffet cruise off waikiki ... having asked friends what should be on a tourist-hawaii-to-do list, we had to fit the dinner cruise in there somehow ... drinks ... big buffet spread ... we were stuffed pretty quick, so we made our way to the observation decks to take in the scenery ...
there something to be said about ocean views w/ scattered clouds ... something inherently relaxing and romantic ...
  the evening wound down w/ a few more drinks and a whole lot of drink-induced dancing on the main deck ... it's strange how you'd mix in all kinds of couples of all kinds of backgrounds and ages and you'll still find a lot of party-minded people who know they're on vacation in hawaii ... and all i could think was ...
i'm on a boat ...
